The story so far

Zileej has grown from being a passion project of one individual in 2011 to an established company in 2016 now with a global team of 17 spanning across five countries, in the space of a few years. With headquarters based in Toronto and key offices in Sydney and Dubai.

Zileej's first two product ranges—Salam Sisters and 5Pillars—address two urgent global challenges within the Islamic Economies: 1) empowering the next generation of young Muslim girls, and 2) making learning about Islam a fun and engaging experience.

Zileej is an inspired design and innovation company with a deep sense of purpose, and guided by the vision to build a brighter future for our global community.

This sincere motivation has resulted in a new generation of consumer lifestyle and edutainment brands and products, that are resonating with and inspiring millions of hearts globally.

The Salam Sisters dolls and 5Pillars boardgames have integrated digital experiences to create complementary offline and online worlds. This has poised Zileej to maximise their positive impact by enabling easy access to beneficial content through technology.

Salam Sisters and 5Pillars were fully designed in-house and were successfully built and launched receiving critical acclaim within the Islamic Economy space and positive recognition globally by leading media outlets including Buzzfeed, HuffPost, NowThis, ATTN:, Inc Arabia, Gulf News, Stylus, Salaam Gateway, CNN Arabic, and ABC.

Inc. Arabia identified Zileej as one of “the new stars of the Islamic Economy” that “wants to marry innovation, technology, design, and creativity with Islam to make smart lifestyle products for Muslims across the world.”

Zileej’s deeply held purpose of creating positive impact for Muslim audiences has driven the design and launch of two successful brands. This purpose will continue to motivate the creation of exceptional digital and physical experiences toward a brighter future for everyone.
